Exhibition Design
Our society focuses on categorizing people by the masses based on generalizations and assumptions. By challenging viewers to examine the similarities and the differences of each individual we can come to the conclusion that the people who compose our society are all the same, however, we all have the individual stories that make us unique.
The Invididual
Our society often categorizes people through broad generalizations and assumptions. But when we challenge the viewer to get to know someone through our similarities and differences we start to see a deeper truth: while we may share common ground, each of us has a unique story that sets us apart.
The Masses
The infographic presents our society at a large scale, highlighting common themes and shared traits among individuals reminding us how much we have in common.
However when we zoom in, we’re reminded that society is made up
of unique individuals, each with their own story.
Stand Together. Not Apart.
Challenging the audience is just the first step toward creating change. It encourages people to reflect on their role as individuals and how they can take action to challenge societal norms. Viewers are invited to write down the steps they’ll take to make a difference.
An acrylic ballot box is used to collect these responses offering anonymity while still making each contribution visible. This transparency helps show the collective impact of individual actions.
